British Duo Set to Return to Vasser Sullivan for IMSA GTD Pro Title Defense

The Vasser Sullivan team has announced that British drivers Ben Barnicoat and Jack Hawksworth will be returning to the cockpit of the #14 Lexus RC F GT3 for the upcoming IMSA GTD Pro season. This will be their second consecutive year with the team as they look to defend their title.

Third Driver Added for Select Endurance Rounds

In addition to Barnicoat and Hawksworth, the team has also revealed that Andretti Global IndyCar driver Kyle Kirkwood will join them as their third driver for select endurance rounds. Kirkwood’s inclusion brings an added level of experience and talent to the team, further strengthening their chances of a successful campaign.

A Proven Partnership

Barnicoat and Hawksworth have enjoyed a successful partnership with Vasser Sullivan and the Lexus Racing program over the years. Hawksworth, in particular, has been with the team for six seasons and is excited about the challenges that lie ahead.

“To say I am thrilled to be continuing with Vasser Sullivan and the Lexus Racing program would be an understatement,” said Hawksworth. “Over the years, we have built strong relationships and achieved significant success together. I am confident that we have what it takes to defend our GTD Pro title.”

Impressive Track Record

During his time with Vasser Sullivan and the Lexus Racing program, Hawksworth has secured 10 wins and stood on the podium 25 times. His experience and competitive drive make him an invaluable asset to the team.

Barnicoat, on the other hand, joined the team last year and quickly found his rhythm alongside Hawksworth. Together, they formed a formidable partnership that proved difficult to beat. Barnicoat is eager to build on their past successes and achieve even greater heights in the upcoming season.

Looking Ahead

The Vasser Sullivan team is well-positioned for the challenges that await them in the IMSA GTD Pro championship. With the return of Barnicoat and Hawksworth, along with the addition of Kyle Kirkwood, they have assembled a strong and talented lineup that is capable of defending their title.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Vasser Sullivan and their British duo as they aim to dominate the GTD Pro class once again. Fans can expect thrilling races and fierce competition as this powerhouse team takes to the track.
