Cadillac Eyes F1 Presence with Andretti Partnership
Automotive conglomerate General Motors (GM) is exploring the possibility of entering Formula 1 through its sub-brand, Cadillac. GM aims to partner with the Andretti bid to form an 11th team in the championship. While Andretti has gained approval from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), it is now awaiting a decision from Formula One Management (FOM).
The existing 10 teams in Formula 1 are resistant to this potential new entry as they fear a loss of their commercial income and the destabilizing effects it may have on the sport.
Despite these concerns, GM remains committed to expanding its presence in the motorsport world.
