DTM Considers Nürburgring for Additional Round

DTM Announces Additional Round for 2024 Season

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) has unveiled its complete calendar for the 2024 season, which will include 16 races across eight events in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. In a recent announcement, the DTM also hinted at the possibility of adding an extra “European event outside of Germany.”

ADAC’s Consultation on DTM Rounds

In an effort to gather feedback from the teams, the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC) conducted an online survey to determine the desired number of rounds for the DTM next year. The survey also sought opinions on the potential location for the additional round scheduled for 2024.

Porsche Squad Manthey’s Proposal

Among the various suggestions, one interesting idea came from Porsche squad Manthey Racing. They expressed their desire to host a DTM race at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in 2024. The iconic track, known for its challenging corners and long straights, would provide a unique and thrilling experience for both drivers and spectators.

Awaiting Confirmation

While no official decision has been made regarding the location of the extra European round, the proposal put forward by Porsche squad Manthey Racing has generated significant interest. Motorsport enthusiasts eagerly await the confirmation of this highly-anticipated addition to the DTM calendar for 2024.
