The Reigning Champion Shines on Day 1 at Motegi

The reigning champion put up an impressive performance on the opening day of the Motegi weekend. Despite being just 0.029 seconds behind Brad Binder, the pacesetter on the KTM, the champion showed great potential.

Not only did Binder set the pace, but both Bagnaia and Espargaro managed to eclipse the eight-year-old Motegi lap record that was previously held by Jorge Lorenzo in FP2.

This performance comes after Bagnaia experienced a crash last weekend in the Indian GP, making this success even more significant for the reigning champion. It seems that Bagnaia has overcome the braking issues that plagued him earlier in the season.
