Toyota Driver Extends Lead in WRC Japan

The Toyota driver has significantly increased his lead over Toyota team-mate Sebastien Ogier in the World Rally Championship (WRC) Japan event. He managed to gain an additional 9.6 seconds across Sunday morning’s three stages, widening his overall lead to a substantial 1 minute and 24.6 seconds.

Toyota’s Dominance

Kalle Rovanpera of Toyota maintained the team’s hopes for a 1-2-3 finish by ending the loop in third place. However, he was quite far behind the frontrunners, trailing by 1 minute and 53.1 seconds.

Battle for Fourth Place

The battle for the fourth position is currently hanging in the balance. Hyundai’s Esapekka Lappi is holding onto a slim 16.2-second advantage over a charging Toyota driven by Takamoto Katsuta.

Despite the tough competition, Katsura has been relentlessly pushing forward, demonstrating remarkable driving skills throughout the race.
