MotorPark Romania was the vision of entrepreneur and motorsport enthusiast Cătălin Manea, who set out around 2010 to build Romania's first permanent racing facility constructed to international standards. Construction began in June 2012 on flat farmland near the village of Adâncata in Ialomița County, roughly 60 km north of Bucharest, and the first races were held at the end of 2014, making it the country's first purpose-built speed circuit.
A modular design
