Ferrari Shines in Extended FP2 Session

Ferrari Dominates Delayed and Extended FP2 Session in Las Vegas GP

The second free practice session of the Las Vegas GP got off to a rocky start with a delay of 2.5 hours due to repairs on the track surface. Despite the setback, Ferrari showcased their prowess by claiming the top two spots on the leaderboard.

Repairs Cause Delay

The session was scheduled to begin at 2.30am local time but was pushed back due to repairs that were needed along the famous Strip in the city. During the FP1 session earlier in the day, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon encountered significant damage when a water valve cover was forcibly lifted. As a result, the session had to be called off after just eight minutes.

Ferrari’s Strong Performance

Once the track was repaired, the drivers were finally able to get back on the circuit for FP2. Ferrari quickly showed their dominance, with Charles Leclerc securing the top spot and teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. closely following in second place.

Leclerc’s impressive lap time of 1:24.708 put him ahead of the competition, highlighting his skills and the capabilities of the Ferrari car. Sainz Jr.’s time of 1:25.112 solidified Ferrari’s strong presence at the front of the pack.

Alonso Takes Third Place

Meanwhile, two-time world champion Fernando Alonso proved that he is still a force to be reckoned with, finishing in third place on the timesheets. The Alpine driver showcased his experience and talent, earning valuable points for his team.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing, on the other hand, faced some challenges during the session and finished in sixth place. However, with his uncanny ability to bounce back, it is likely that Verstappen will come back stronger in future sessions.

A Promising Start for Ferrari

The delayed and extended FP2 session in Las Vegas provided an exciting glimpse into what the upcoming race may hold. With Ferrari’s strong performance, it is clear that they are determined to secure a podium finish in the Las Vegas GP.

As the race weekend progresses, fans eagerly anticipate the thrilling battles that will unfold on the track. Will Ferrari maintain their dominance, or will other drivers rise to the occasion and challenge their supremacy? Only time will tell.
