Kobayashi Sets Blistering Time in Second Practice Session

In the second practice session for the WEC Bahrain race, Kamui Kobayashi of Toyota set a blistering time of 1m46.851s in the #7 Toyota GR010 HYBRID. This impressive lap time was achieved just 25 minutes into the session, marking a significant improvement of over three seconds from his fastest lap in FP1.

Brendon Hartley, driving the #8 Toyota, also showcased a notable improvement compared to the previous session. However, the gap between the two Toyota LMH cars widened to 0.461s as Kobayashi remained the sole driver to break the 1m47s barrier.

With such a standout performance, Kobayashi’s time on the track solidifies Toyota’s position at the top in the second practice session. The team seems to be producing encouraging results and proving their competitiveness in the WEC Bahrain race.

As the drivers and teams continue to prepare for the upcoming race, it will be intriguing to see if Kobayashi and Toyota can maintain their momentum throughout the remaining sessions and ultimately secure a competitive advantage.
