Named for the local driver and businessman who built it, the Autódromo Internacional Orlando Moura is a 3.533 km (2.196 mi), 10-turn road course run counter-clockwise on the outskirts of Campo Grande. Three of its corners bend right and the rest left, and the standout feature is one of the longest straights of any Brazilian circuit, at 960 metres, which makes for high top speeds and heavy braking zones into the corner that follows. A 2009 reform upgraded the facility specifically to bring it up to Stock Car Brasil standard.

The track opened on 5 August 2001 with a round of Fórmula Truck that drew a reported crowd of almost 50,000. It became a fixture for Formula 3 Sudamericana, Fórmula Truck and, from its first race in 2002, Stock Car Brasil, with a 2009 reform bringing the layout up to full Stock Car specification. Built by a local racer
The Autódromo Internacional Orlando Moura traces back to a kart track built in the 1980s by local driver Orlando Moura. When the kart track's lot proved too small for a full circuit, Moura bought land near the highway on the edge of Campo Grande and pursued the bigger project, eventually securing support from the city's mayor André Puccinelli, from Petrobrás, and from Aurélio Batista Félix, the founder of the Fórmula Truck series.
Opening and early growth
The circuit was inaugurated on 5 August 2001 with the sixth round of that year's Fórmula Truck championship, drawing a crowd approaching 50,000, an extraordinary turnout for a brand-new regional venue.
