Verstappen Claims Top Spot in FP1 at Qatar GP
Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing showcased his speed and skill during the first free practice session (FP1) at the Qatar Grand Prix. The Dutch driver, currently leading the championship, outpaced his rivals in a stunning display on Friday.
In the final segment of the session, Verstappen unleashed his full potential by switching to soft tyres. This move allowed him to swiftly overtake Fernando Alonso, who had been leading the session for a significant amount of time. Verstappen’s impressive lap time of 1m27.428s put him in first place.
