Perez Surprised by Early End to Q2 in Vegas F1 Qualifying
During the recent qualifying session for the Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix, Red Bull driver Sergio Perez found himself caught off guard by an early end to Q2.
After making it through Q1 and securing a 13th place starting position, Perez was the only driver who wasn’t on track when the session came to a close. His team called him in, informing him that he was in fifth place with four minutes still remaining.
Confused by the early finish, Perez expressed his surprise to his engineer, saying, “We finished quite early, no?” His concern turned out to be valid as he was subsequently pushed down the leaderboard…
