Motorclub Oss is the motocross club that owns and operates the De Witte Ruijsheuvel circuit on the edge of Oss in North Brabant, one of the Netherlands' leading motocross venues. Founded in 1971, the club moved its racing to the current site, built on a former municipal rubbish tip near the Vorstengrafdonk industrial estate, in May 1980, and has run the circuit ever since, overseeing its major 2021 renovation to world championship (MXGP) standard. Events and race weekends

As the organising body behind De Witte Ruijsheuvel, Motorclub Oss has staged national and international motocross racing for decades, including the Dutch Masters of Motocross, the FIM Sidecarcross World Championship, and, most notably, a round of the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP) in July 2021, won by Tim Gajser in the premier class with Jago Geerts sweeping MX2. Since 2021, a municipal restriction limits the club to holding just one motocross competition event per year at the site, alongside training and club activities.

History of Motorclub Oss

Founded in 1971

Motorclub Oss was founded on 1 November 1971, part of a wave of local motocross clubs that sprang up across the Netherlands in the postwar decades as the sport grew in popularity. The club initially raced at another location before relocating in May 1980 to a new site on a former municipal rubbish tip near the Vorstengrafdonk industrial estate on the edge of Oss, where it staged its first national race under the track name De Witte Ruijsheuvel.

Building a national reputation

Over the following decades, Motorclub Oss grew the venue's standing within Dutch motocross, hosting the Dutch Masters of Motocross and the FIM Sidecarcross World Championship and establishing De Witte Ruijsheuvel as one of the country's leading circuits. The club's ambitions culminated in a major renovation of the track in the early 2020s, upgrading it to meet the standards required to host the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP).

Hosting MXGP and a new limit

That investment paid off in July 2021, when Motorclub Oss staged a full round of the MXGP world championship, with Slovenia's Tim Gajser winning the premier class and Belgium's Jago Geerts sweeping the MX2 races, drawing international EMX and MXGP riders and considerable local attention. The scale of the event also brought noise and traffic complaints from nearby residents, and in its wake the Oss municipal council restricted the club to holding only one motocross competition event per year at the site. Motorclub Oss has continued operating within that limit since, running club training and one headline national or international competition each year while maintaining the circuit that once hosted the world championship.
