Logitech RS50 vs Moza R9 V3

Head-to-head · Updated 19 October 2026 · Based on 115 owner posts and reviews

The RS50 and the R9 V3 both sit in the 8 to 9 Nm range, but they are sold very differently. Logitech sells the RS50 as a system with wheel hub, round wheel and clamp, in separate PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions. Moza sells the R9 V3 as a bare base for PC, and you choose the wheel and pedals.

We cannot hands-on test wheels. This page uses the prices and specs on the Logitech and Moza pages as of 19 October 2026, owner posts in the RS50 thread on GTPlanet, and verified-buyer R9 V3 reviews on Moza's US store dated December 2025 onward. No post we opened came from an owner of both, so the comparison is built from separate reports.

We can’t test everything, so each pick is labelled with where the evidence comes from. How we research and test. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you (disclosure).

The short answer

If you play on PlayStation, only the RS50 applies, and owners who came from a G29, G923 or a Fanatec base describe a large step up in feel, though a few report disconnects on PS5. If you play on PC, the R9 V3 is cheaper as a base, stronger on paper at 9 Nm, and sits in a wider ecosystem. A comparable full kit costs about the same, so the platform and the ecosystem should decide it.

Choose the Logitech RS50 if you play on PS5 or want a single box with wheel, hub and clamp. Buy the version for your platform, and add the $159.99 RS Pedals for a load cell brake.

Choose the Moza R9 V3 if you race on PC and want the most torque for the money, with the freedom to pick your own wheel and pedals from Moza's range.

Platform comes first

Logitech's RS50 System page lists three versions: PC only, PlayStation and PC, and Xbox and PC. The base on its own is $349.99 to $449.99 depending on which one you pick, and the page says a PlayStation base can pair with the Xbox wheel hub for cross-platform use. Make sure you order the version for your console.

Moza's R9 V3 page lists PC only. For PlayStation there is no Moza option today. In July 2026 Polyphony Digital said Moza is developing a Gran Turismo wheel with native GT7 support, with no price or release window. If you need a PlayStation wheel now, the RS50 is the one that applies.

What a full kit costs

The RS50 System is $699.99 with the base, hub, round wheel and table clamp. Adding the $159.99 RS Pedals makes $859.98. On Moza's R9 V3 page the base is $299, the CS Pro wheel is $329, the SRP2 load cell pedals are $149, and a clamp is $39. That is $816.

So a load cell kit costs about the same either way. The R9 route is $43.98 cheaper on these prices, and Moza sells cheaper rims that were not on the page we checked. The RS50 route comes with the clamp and an integrated quick release, and works on a console.

Force feedback and feel

RS50 owners in the GTPlanet thread keep returning to the same points: oversteer feels more natural and kerbs and road surface come through. One owner said the strength feels higher than the spec suggests. An owner who moved from a CSL DD with an adaptor to the RS50 on PS5 called it the best Gran Turismo experience they had had. A T248 owner said the jump let them feel weight transfer and kerbs for the first time.

R9 V3 owners are positive about the force too. Several came from a G29 or G920. A typical post says the fidelity of the force feedback makes a world of difference. Nobody we read had both bases, so we cannot say which feels better. On paper the R9 has 9 Nm to the RS50's 8 Nm.

Reliability reports

A few RS50 owners on PS5 report disconnects or crashes. One owner was sent a replacement base and still had disconnects, and another had a base replaced by the shop after the wheel spun on loading screens. Another owner who refunded their unit described lateral play at the quick release and said Logitech told them the movement was expected. One owner reports using theirs since the start of the year without a fault.

R9 V3 owners report fewer hard faults. A few mention oscillation or wobble that needed settings work, one says the base gets hot, and several store reviewers complain about slow shipping from Moza's store.

Pedals and ecosystem

The RS Pedals include a load cell brake for $159.99. RS50 owners say it takes time to relearn braking by pressure, and one found the PlayStation profile for the pedal harder to tune than the PC profile. Moza's SRP2 load cell pedals are $149 and the page lists its brake performance kit at $19.90.

Moza's page lists several rims, pedals and accessories for the R9 V3. Logitech's hub takes Logitech's own wheels, and one RS50 owner in the thread was waiting for the MOMO 320 mm wheel to come back in stock. Logitech's advantage is a one-brand system that supports PlayStation.

Logitech G RS50 System

Owner-reportedPC, PlayStation and Xbox versions are listed

Logitech's 8 Nm direct drive system with TRUEFORCE haptics. Owners moving up from a G29, G923 or a Fanatec base describe much better feel and detail, and several single out the load cell brake in the RS Pedals. A few report disconnects on PS5 and movement in the quick release.

  • Some PS5 owners report disconnects or crashes, with one needing a replacement base (a few owners)
  • Recommended GT7 settings felt too heavy or oscillated until turned down (several owners)

  • Pedals are extra, and the base alone is $349.99 to $449.99 depending on version

Understeer feels closer to the real world, curbs feel natural, the road surface sensation isn't just a shake at the centre of the wheel.

I recently purchased an RS50, using it with a PS5 for GT7. It crashed and disconnected a lot, so I got in touch with Logitech support

Moza R9 V3 Direct Drive Wheel Base

$299

A compact 9 Nm base sold on its own. Owners from December 2025 onward describe strong, smooth force feedback, easy Pit House tuning and a big step up from G29, G920 and belt-driven wheels. You buy the wheel and pedals separately.

What owners report · from 96 owner posts and reviews we read

  • 9 Nm is enough for most, with several calling it a good mid-range base
  • Wheel, pedals and mount are extra (a couple of reviewers mention it)
  • Settings need tuning, and a few owners report oscillation or wobble
  • Slow or uneven shipping from Moza's store (several store reviewers)
  • Xbox setup is awkward according to one reviewer, and the brand page lists PC only
  • One owner says it gets hot after extended use

I think this is a great mid level wheelbase for someone who is just starting or just wants an upgrade from the R5 or other system.

Great wheelbase that goes with my setup, can't figure out how to get it to stop the oscillating ffb though.
