Next Level Racing GTLite Pro vs Playseat Trophy

Head-to-head · Updated 19 October 2026 · Based on 5 owner posts and reviews

The Next Level Racing GTLite Pro and the Playseat Trophy are the two prebuilt cockpits with a seat that people most often weigh against each other. The GTLite Pro folds and costs $299. The Trophy is a fixed tube frame that costs about twice as much.

The Trophy pick is owner-reported, built from 5 customer reviews on Playseat's product page. The GTLite Pro pick is spec-checked: price, stock, specs and compatibility come from nextlevelracing.com, and not enough owner reviews could be opened and checked directly. Nothing here comes from hands-on testing. All data was checked on 19 October 2026.

This page replaces the older Next Level Racing GTtrack against Trophy matchup. The GTtrack showed as out of stock on nextlevelracing.com and as sold out at the US retailer checked on 19 October 2026, so the GTLite Pro is used as the current Next Level Racing model. The Trophy is the Logitech G Edition, the in-stock US listing. Playseat's own US store listed the Trophy at $649 and showed it as sold out.

The short answer

These are two price tiers. The GTLite Pro is a $299 folding cockpit that Next Level Racing rates for entry-level direct drive up to 13 Nm and ships with a shifter mount and handbrake plate. The Trophy is a $599.99 fixed frame that Playseat recommends for direct drive wheels, with an ActiFit seat and no fold.

Choose the GTLite Pro if the cockpit has to fold away, your wheelbase is 13 Nm or less, and you want the shifter and handbrake plate included at half the Trophy's price.

Choose the Trophy if you can leave it set up or slide it aside, want a frame Playseat recommends for direct drive, and accept the Playseat seat and its fixed wheel position. Reviewers praise its comfort and stability and call it pricey.

Price and what you get

The GTLite Pro is $299 on nextlevelracing.com and includes a seat, a shifter mount that fits either side, and a universal handbrake plate. The Trophy Logitech G Edition is $599.99 on the Logitech G store and includes a seat. Playseat sells a gearshift and handbrake holder for the Trophy separately.

Two of the five Trophy reviewers on Playseat's page call the price high, and one adds that it may be worth paying more than the competition. The $300 gap is the main reason to pick the GTLite Pro.

Wheelbase torque

Next Level Racing rates the GTLite Pro for entry-level direct drive up to 13 Nm and gives the Moza R9 as an example. The page lists two strengthening straps for extra wheelbase support. Playseat says the Trophy is recommended for direct drive wheels and gives no number.

The brand figures decide the question only up to a point. If your wheelbase is above 13 Nm, the GTLite Pro is outside its rating. Above that, the Trophy's written recommendation for direct drive is the closer match, though Playseat does not state a limit.

Folding and moving

Next Level Racing says the GTLite Pro folds with the wheel and pedals attached and has two built-in roller wheels. It weighs 15.5 kg. The Trophy does not fold, weighs 16 kg by Playseat's spec table, and is 140 x 58 x 100 cm.

Neither brand publishes a folded size for the GTLite Pro. If you need to store the cockpit in a closet or under a bed, the GTLite Pro is the only one of the two that folds.

Seat comfort and fit

Next Level Racing describes the GTLite Pro seat as padded at the lower back, thighs and shoulders, with three backrest angles and five seat height settings. Playseat describes the Trophy seat as ActiFit with PU leather, a separate recline and adjustable lumbar support.

Four of the five Trophy reviewers call the seat comfortable. One says it sits low and takes effort to get in and out of, and one says the seat adjustment is fiddly if drivers change often.

Next Level Racing lists up to 150 kg and 210 cm for the GTLite Pro. Playseat lists up to 120 kg and 220 cm for the Trophy.
