Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals III LC vs Fanatec CSL Pedals LC

Head-to-head · Updated 19 October 2026

The Thrustmaster Raceline Pedals III LC and the Fanatec CSL Pedals LC are the two three-pedal load cell sets sold by the big console-friendly wheel brands. The Raceline set is $269.99. The CSL set is $239.98.

This page replaces the older T-LCM against CSL Pedals LC matchup. Thrustmaster still has a T-LCM product page on thrustmaster.com, but its US store lists only T-LCM spare parts and its pedals category shows the Raceline Pedals III LC marked as new. A US retailer, Electronic Express, listed the T-LCM Pedals as out of stock on 19 October 2026. The Raceline Pedals III LC is the current load cell pedal set on the Thrustmaster US store.

Both picks are spec-checked. Price, stock, specs and platform compatibility come from the Thrustmaster US store and the Fanatec US store, checked on 19 October 2026. Not enough owner reviews for either set could be opened and checked directly. Nothing here comes from hands-on testing.

We can’t test everything, so each pick is labelled with where the evidence comes from. How we research and test. Some links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you (disclosure).

The short answer

The two sets match on pedal count and both are mostly metal. The Raceline set lists a 100 kg load cell with 24-bit resolution, a brake with four configurations and a preload dial, and costs $30 more. The CSL set lists a 12-bit load cell with about 10 kg minimum sensitivity. The wheel brand you own matters most for console use.

Choose the Raceline Pedals III LC if you own a Thrustmaster base (consoles need a Thrustmaster force feedback base, not the T500), or race on PC with any base over USB, and want the more documented brake adjustment.

Choose the CSL Pedals LC if you own a Fanatec wheelbase, want the lower $239.98 price, or race on a console through a Fanatec base.

Price and stock

The Raceline Pedals III LC is $269.99 on the Thrustmaster US store with an Add to Cart button. The same store lists a separate Raceline LC upgrade kit at $179.99. The CSL Pedals LC is $239.98 on the Fanatec US store and listed as available.

The $30 gap is small, so the deciding factor is usually which wheelbase you own.

Brake sensor and adjustment

Thrustmaster lists a load cell that measures up to 100 kg with 24-bit resolution over an 11 degree travel angle. The brake has four configurations from three springs and an elastomer buffer, adjusts tool-free from 25 to 100 kg of maximum pressure, and has a preload dial in 5 kg steps.

Fanatec lists a custom 12-bit load cell with a sensitivity of about 10 kg minimum, adjustable through the Tuning Menu or Control Panel. It does not state a maximum. Fanatec's elastomer stack is 65 Shore hardness.

On brake data alone the Raceline set is more fully specified.

Build and adjustment

Thrustmaster lists a 100% metal structure that is fully modular: you can change pedal position and height, or remove the clutch pedal. Total weight is 4.6 kg. The box includes carpet grip pads, a brake adjustment kit, an RJ45 cable and a USB-C cable.

Fanatec lists an all-metal build apart from the pedal faces, heavy steel, pearl chrome plating on the bases and arms, sideways adjustment along the heel rest and a modular design that allows inverted mounting.

Platforms and your wheelbase

Thrustmaster says the Raceline Pedals III LC works with all its force feedback wheel bases except the T500 on consoles, and with any wheel base on PC over USB on Windows 10 and 11. It lists PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox.

Fanatec says the CSL Pedals LC works with CSL, CSL DD, GT DD Pro, ClubSport and Podium wheelbases. It can run standalone over USB on PC, and on a console it has to connect through a Fanatec wheelbase.

If you race on PC with a third-party base, either set can connect over USB. If you race on a console, buy the set from the brand whose wheelbase you own.

Questions buyers ask

Why is the T-LCM not on this page?+

Thrustmaster's US store lists T-LCM spare parts and the Raceline Pedals III LC, not the T-LCM Pedals, and a US retailer listed the T-LCM Pedals as out of stock on 19 October 2026. The Raceline Pedals III LC is the current load cell pedal set.

Does the Raceline Pedals III LC work with any wheelbase?+

On PC, Thrustmaster says yes, over USB on Windows 10 and 11. On consoles it works with Thrustmaster force feedback bases except the T500.

Does the CSL Pedals LC work without a Fanatec wheelbase?+

On PC, yes: Fanatec says it can connect as a standalone USB device. On consoles it has to connect through a Fanatec wheelbase.

Which has the stronger load cell?+

Thrustmaster lists 100 kg with 24-bit resolution. Fanatec lists a 12-bit load cell with a sensitivity of about 10 kg minimum and does not publish a maximum.

Which set is lighter?+

Thrustmaster lists the Raceline Pedals III LC at 4.6 kg. Fanatec does not list a weight for the CSL Pedals LC.

Why are both picks spec-checked?+

Not enough owner reviews for either pedal set could be opened and checked directly, so both picks rest on brand specs, price and stock.
